Most of the candidates of NEET in 2013 told that the examination was of average difficulty level. However, experts said that the Biology section was difficult while Physics and Chemistry sections were comparatively easier. They also analysed that some questions were beyond the prescribed NCERT syllabus.

 

According to examination authority (CBSE), 3.66 lakh candidates out of 6.58 lakh candidates qualified the NEET 2013 entrance test.

On the basis of the analysis of NEET 2013 entrance examination PrepLadder has brought the expected analysis of NEET 2016 to help the candidates preparing for NEET phase 2.


NEET 2013 Sectional Analysis :

Physics Section:

Physics section was of average difficulty level. Equal number of Questions were asked in the exam class 11 and 12 syllabus. Also, equal number of numerical and theoretical based questions were asked in the physics. Electrodynamics, Mechanics and Modern Physics had an average weightage of 10 questions each.

22 Questions were asked from 11th syllabus while rest of the 23 questions were from 12th class syllabus.


Chemistry Section:

This section was also of average difficulty level. Few conceptual and calculation based questions were asked from Physical chemistry. Few questions were out the prescribed syllabus. There were 16 questions each from Organic and Physical section and 13 from Inorganic portions.

21 Questions were 11th based while 24 from 12th class syllabus. 


Biology Section:

This was the toughest of all sections of NEET 2013 as reported by the candidates and experts. Though many questions asked in this section were NCERT based but were tricky and conceptual. Also, image and diagram based questions were asked in the examination which proved to be nightmare for examinees. Animal physiology and reproduction contributed maximum number of questions followed by genetics and evolution.
