Uttarakhand Congress President Kishore Upadhyay has placed the demand for an Investigation into the alleged paper leak of NEET Phase II.
Kishore Upadhyay stated that the National-level exam had been organized under the surveillance of the Central ministry. He further stated that the state police had seized five people in connection with the paper leak on July 23, a day prior to the exam. He stated that the Prime Minister should take the complete responsibility of the matter and should set up an investigation in this regard.
He further stated that the issue is big since it impacts the future of thousands of candidates. He stated that he would meet the Chief Minister Harish Rawat in this regard and further decide on how to take the matter forward.
Dr. Anand Rai, RTI activist and the whistleblower of Vyapam scam filed an RTI demanding details of communication between the CBSE and the Justice Lodha Committee.

Dr. Anand Rai stated that they want to get acquainted with the material which was placed before the Committee by the CBSE and also demanded a copy of the answer keys of the NEET question paper.
CBSE which had denied the NEET Phase II paper leak had conducted the NEET II exam on July 24 while the NEET I had been conducted on May 1.
The combined results of NEET I and NEET II will be announced on August 17.
The Supreme Court on August 9 had refused to intervene in a petition seeking investigation by the Uttarakhand Police into the alleged NEET Phase II paper leak. Nonetheless, the petitioner has decided to approach the Uttarakhand High Court.
