Jaipur boy Aman Bansal has emerged as the topper of the JEE Advanced 2016, the results of which were declared on 12th June.
Bhavesh Dhingra from Yamuna Nagar bagged the second position while Kunal Goyal of Jaipur stood third.
Riya Singh from Kota emerged as the topper among the girls with an All India Ranking of 133.
In a highly competitive exam which serves as a basis for admission to prestigious IITs and other institutes, over 1,55,948 candidates had registered for the exam out of which 36,566 qualified.
Qualified candidates is comprised of 31,996 boys and 4,570 girls.
Admission to 23 IITs will be granted based on the performance of the candidate in JEE Advanced 2016.
The performance of candidates in JEE Advanced serves as the basis for admission to Bachelor’s and Master degree programs across all IITs and ISMs.
This test was conducted by IIT Guwahati in conjunction with Joint Admission Board 2016 in hundreds of centres across the country.

According to the official summary of zone – wise results, 5 candidates from IIT Chennai zone made it in the top 10, 3 candidates from IIT Mumbai zone while IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee zones have 1 candidate each among the top 10 candidates.
