Super 30 founder Anand Kumar has got a proposal from MIT in the USA for joining their open online initiative for teaching Mathematics.
Super 30 revealed that Mr. Anand has got a teaching proposal from Edx, a massive open online course (MOOC) provider and an initiative of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University to become a part of it.
Edx provides online university-level courses in a broad range of disciplines, some of which can be availed for free to students across the globe in English, Spanish, French and Mandarin.
Edx also conducts research into learning on the basis of usage of its platform by the audience.
Anant Aggarwal, Professor, MIT, has written to Kumar as to how his Super 30 initiative was on similar lines as Edx and the two could reach out to more and more students by working in alliance.
MIT Professor further stated that the Institute was delighted to explore how they might be able to work in alliance by bringing the Super 30 content onto their platform.

MIT Professor further added that Edx is trying to accomplish similar objectives as Mr. Kumar by providing opportunity and flattening the educational playing field for millions of students in India and across the globe.
Anand Kumar stated that it was an honour that his initiative has been noticed by reputed institutions like MIT.
Kumar further added that he was delighted to know that MIT was also working for impoverished students across the Globe and providing them access to quality content.
Anand Kumar has been running Super 30, an initiative to train students belonging to unprivileged sections of society free of cost for the JEE.
The initiative has been highly successful since the last 14 years by helping more than 325 poor students crack IIT since 2002.
This year, 28 of the 30 students of Super 30 made it to the IITs.
