In an attempt to do away with the issue of large number of seats lying vacant across the IITs, the nation’s Top-Notch Institutes have eventually decided to lower the cutoff marks for the most sought after exam with a view to make room for as many students as they could including the day scholars. IITs have reduced their cutoff to 75 for the General (Unreserved) Category and 38 for the Reserved Category.
