Yesterday on April 3rd JEE-Main offline was held throughout the country. Over 12 lakh students are expected to appear in this year’s exam.

The paper this year was of moderate difficulty, comparable to last year’s exam. Candidates who practiced enough sample papers have a good chance of cracking it.
All the questions were equally divided according to the pattern of the exam.
Level of difficulty -
There were about 27 easy, 48 moderate and 15 difficult questions.
Physics this year was of relatively moderate difficulty compared to last year’s Physics section, which was quite tough.
Mechanics had the most number of questions in the Physics section.
2 questions in Physics section appeared to have more than 1 correct answer, which confused quite a few candidates
Chemistry was difficult this year, compared to, as it was 2015.
Chemistry section had evenly distributed questions. There were questions asked from every topic.
Mathematics this year was relatively easier compared to last year’s question paper, which was reported to be quite tough by many students.
Majority of the questions were from Algebra and Calculus.

The Top 2 lakh students from JEE-Mains will progress to JEE-Advances which will be held on May 23rd .
