Here are the best alter things that could be done if you want to pursue engineering even if you could not clear the JEE exam.
- You can consider joining a private college for Engineering and for this you can give the entrance exams for these colleges which are easier in comparison to JEE. Entrance exams like VIT, BITS Pilani,UPTU, MIT etc. while being less competitive than JEE offer some pretty good options for an engineering aspirant.
- There are some other colleges in the country too that offer admission in the engineering based on your 12th marks without any Entrance Examination.
- If you still want to join IIT’s, then you can drop a year and prepare for JEE next year’s exam only if you are serious for it and not only give your 100% but the 100% of efforts required to clear JEE. But don’t waste your year if you are unsure of clearing JEE.
- And if you are not interested in Engineering anymore, then the list is endless of the alternate study options like B. Sc. in many different subjects, B. Com, Etc.
Not getting a seat in an Engineering college or not getting the engineering stream of your choice is not the end of the world. There are numerous other options for students which may well be more interesting for JEE Candidates who fail to clear the entrance exam.
